A-Line quantum processors use tunable couplers which allow the qubit-qubit interaction to be dynamically turned on and off. This is critical for suppressing ZZ-crosstalk during idle states and achieving high-fidelity CZ gates, making the A-Line the ideal platform for implementing Quantum Error Correction (QEC) codes (like distance-3 surface codes) and complex variational quantum algorithms.
