The LNF-PSX8 is a slim 1U, 19″-rack-mountable, computer-controlled power supply designed to independently bias up to eight of LNF’s cryogenic LNAs. Each channel offers fully programmable and monitored drain voltage and current control, with automatic gate voltage modulation or fixed gate voltage operation. Additionally, it offers remote voltage sensing to help compensate for resistive cryogenic bias wiring. The unit supports Ethernet connectivity with a REST API and a browser-based web interface for easy remote automation and manual control. This makes the instrument ideal for large amplifier arrays in quantum computing, radio astronomy, and laboratory environments. All eight channels can also be galvanically isolated or selectively grounded to help diagnose and eliminate ground loops. Powered by an external 24 VDC supply, the LNF-PSX8 pairs with LNF’s low-noise power blocks to enable highly scalable, space-efficient LNA biasing solutions.
